Imagine It. Plan It. Live It.

The Complete Moneyling High School Program — Story-Based Financial Literacy Aligned with NS-12 Standards

Moneyling’s Imagine It. Plan It. The Live It. program turns financial literacy into a story students can see themselves in. Built around the National Standards for Personal Financial Education (NS-12), this dynamic high school program brings financial concepts to life through relatable characters and real-world decision-making.

Follow Cari, Richie, Amelia, Beatriz, Mallory, and Marquis as they navigate the same financial choices every young adult will face — from earning their first paycheck to managing credit, saving for the future, and planning for life’s unexpected events. Each vignette combines narrative storytelling with critical thinking activities, illustrating how financial decisions relate to everyday goals and challenges.

When Cari debates whether to save or spend her part-time income, students learn about opportunity cost and budgeting. When Richie weighs college debt against apprenticeship income, they explore education as an investment. Amelia’s experience starting a small business introduces entrepreneurship and taxes, while Beatriz’s decision to send money home connects personal finance to family and cultural values.

Each story aligns with a key NS-12 learning standard, and is paired with practical tools, reflection prompts, and interactive exercises that help students apply the lessons to their own lives.

Every classroom license also includes Moneyling’s Dreamlife Sim – Student Edition. This hands-on digital experience allows students to envision their ideal lifestyle, plan realistic career paths, and explore how smart financial choices impact their future so they can live their dream life. Because when students see themselves in the story, financial literacy becomes more than a lesson — it becomes a life plan.
